Michael is an advisor to One Search’s Board and a highly regarded board member and private investor in a portfolio of successful sustainability focused businesses, most notably K Road Solar LLC (exit to First Solar) and K Road DG LLC (sold to Engie), New Energy Finance Ltd (sold to Bloomberg) and Greentech Capital Advisors (sold to Nomura).
Michael is a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Jupiter Green Investment Trust plc, a company listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and recognized as one of the UK’s leading sustainability investing companies. Michael has served on the board of Jupiter Green Investment Trust plc since 2008. He sat as Chairman of Audit Committee from 2012 until 2015 and was appointed Chairman of Board in September 2015.
His Advisory Board appointments include the Toronto-based private equity firm XPV Water Partners LLC (since 2008), and the leading climate Fintech company Sylvera Limited based in London (since 2021), backed by Index Ventures. Michael currently holds board seats at Sun Mobility Limited, and K Road Mobility LLC (2019) and K Road Technology LLC with business partner and fellow entrepreneur William Kriegel.
In 2009 Mr. Naylor was a founding board member of the NTR Foundation, a Dublin based non-profit created by the Roche family office to address the challenges posed by the issues of climate change, resource sustainability and security of energy supply. From 2013 until 2020 Michael was senior advisor to the London Private Equity Firm Actis where he is also a member of the Partnership Co-Investment Vehicle of funds AE3 and AE4. From 2011 until 2019 Michael was chairman of the Advisory Board of Greentech Capital LLC (today Nomura Greentech), helping to build a world recognised and leading M&A advisory business in the sustainability sector based in New York, San Francisco and Zurich. Michael was appointed a board member of The Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership in 2013. The Institute is part of the University of Cambridge within the School of Technology. Michael is a graduate of the Institute’s Management Programme.
