Equity Investment

We work with equity investors to build and augment their investment and asset management teams, from CIO down to Associate level. We specialize in multi-hire projects for dynamic global strategies, but we also take on individual mandates where there is a genuine value proposition.

In 2021 alone we helped two clients open offices in Singapore, ran a team build project in Luxembourg, placed a Head of Asset Management for a leading Renewables Fund in Chicago and completed over 100 searches in London and New York combined.

Credit Investment

A longstanding leader in the Infra Credit space, we had the honour of partnering with Allianz in 2012 as they blazed a trail in direct infra investment for other institutions to follow. To this day, we have been responsible for every single external hire the Allianz infra credit business has made, worldwide.

In 2021 alone we performed a full team rebuild for one of the world’s leading Infra Debt platforms in New York, ran a team build project in Cologne and placed eighteen people worldwide with one of the most aggressive banks in sustainability project finance.

Investor Relations / Fundraising

As more and more capital flows from LPs into infrastructure, our clients’ IR/Fundraising functions have had to grow at pace, in many cases into new territories where they depend on our local knowledge and network.

In 2021 alone we ran the buildout of a key European client’s Americas IR/Fundraising team in the US and Canada, and helped another firm put IR/Fundraising boots on the ground in Singapore for the first time.

ESG

ESG has emerged as a crucial factor influencing a fund’s holistic approach to generating higher returns. The primary emphasis has been on generating value while also adhering to regulatory standards. ESG initiatives are devised to mitigate significant risks and opportunities to prepare for their future exit.

The demands from investors and Limited Partners to deal with ESG matters have intensified, prompting a growing array of private equity firms to establish strategies for integrating and ingraining their ESG principles into their investment methodologies. Portfolio companies are also gaining benefits through a forward-thinking and methodical ESG strategy and value the backing provided by PE funds.

Portfolio Search

When our clients take control of companies, we assist them in that transition and the augmentation of senior management which often follows. Even before the transaction is finalized, we have mapped talent markets for equity investors and produced a plan for all eventualities.

Recent successes include Digital Bridge’s creation of the Wildstone digital advertising platform in the UK, TPG’s buildout of a new renewables platform with Matrix Renewables in Madrid and Miami, and finding a General Manager to run KKR & Brookfield’s renewables JV in Japan.
